A Special Letter to the Zion Congregation

July 31, 2020

Dear all,

May this note find you and your loved ones well.

This season of transition brings with it the steady reassurance of God’s love.  Many of us have been members of Zion for generations, and some are newcomers.  Yet, we seek one common goal: to know Christ’s love, and to share it.  Over the coming months, each one of us will be asked to bring a unique gift to the table: a simple prayer; a reassuring word; or other forms of time, talent, and treasure.  We thank you for your generous offering!

Pastoral care will remain a focus during this time.  We have a team of lay ministers and volunteers that stand ready to assist you with anything you need. We encourage you to utilize these resources.  We have wonderful supply clergy that will be leading us in worship and will continue to administer the sacraments of the Church.  Join us for online worship each Sunday at 9:00 am, or participate in other weekly events that will be published on our website and on Facebook.  We will also provide updates of our new rector search committee that will start in September.  We hope to gather in-person soon. Should you wish to discuss anything, feel free to call Rose at (802) 362-1987 or email me at jamie@hastingsip.com.

Like the apostles, our work remains ahead of us, never behind.  So let us go forth boldly!  For with God, all things are possible.

Peace,

Jamie Hastings, Senior Warden
